Plan an Event

Whether your child wants to have a lemonade stand, the Cub Scouts want to give back or a business needs a philanthropic partner, Miller Children’s is excited to be your “Charity of Choice” (third-party event). Every gift, whether large or small, goes along way in improving the health of the children in our community.

Corporations and foundations can choose Miller Children’s to benefit from an existing annual fundraiser or create a new fundraiser naming Miller Children’s as their Charity of Choice. Since there are so few, full-service children’s hospitals in the nation, children’s hospitals have a definite presence in the community and many people have benefited from their healing touch.

Partnership with a children’s hospital creates beneficial cause marketing, especially if the fundraiser is held in the community both the business and the children’s hospital serve. Also the notoriety of sponsoring a larger event that benefits a regional children’s hospital—such as Miller Children’s—increases the sponsoring business’ visibility. Miller Children’s is proud to be a “Charity of Choice” by many generous groups and businesses.

Charity of Choice Criteria

Events, benefiting any part of Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach, must be approved by Memorial Medical Center Foundation, in order to best represent the reputation and resources of the children’s hospital to the community. We request that a 30-day lead be given for review and recommendation.

The staff meets regularly to review requests as received and will work to notify promptly should we seen any reason to decline participation.
