See how everyday people, businesses, foundations and health care advocates are creating change for the young patients at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach.

Hospitalization can be difficult for any family, particularly during the holidays.

With the help of our community, Miller Children’s is receiving donations and planning special holiday events almost daily throughout December. Miller Children’s Child Life team helps coordinate these special events to help maintain normal, daily childhood activities and spread the holiday cheer throughout the hospital for patients and their families.

Upcoming Holiday Events

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by Miller Children’s to drop off a donation or volunteer your time to be with our patients and their families. We’ve already had numerous toy drives and special visits.

Give Through Philanthropy – Receive Patient-Created Holiday Cards

Help us bring our patients and their families hope this holiday season.

In appreciation of your support we would like to send you a special gift from our very own patient artists exhibited in the Artful Healing Collection – most recently seen at the Long Beach Marathon. The Artful Healing Program allows our young patients to express themselves through art, as a form of therapy, and promotes a healing environment.

For your gift of $20.00 or more we will send you a beautiful 2011 Calendar offering you a full year of heartwarming art from these special art workshops.

For a gift of $30.00 or more we will send you three sets of Holiday Greeting Cards to share with friends and family.

For more information on other ways you can support the Artful Healing Program, please contact Brett Beck at (562) 933-1676.

Give Through Philanthropy –In Memory or Honor, Program Support

Give a gift in honor of, or in memory of a loved one, friend, physician, nurse or hospital care team member this holiday season. Or support a Miller Children’s program that has touched your life or a friend or family member’s life.

An acknowledgement letter will be mailed to anyone you designate informing them of your thoughtfulness, and your gift will be recognized in one of our publications.
