Rehab Therapies Satellite Care

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Outpatient Satellite at Miller Children’s provides specialty care for infants, children and adolescents suffering from occupational, speech and physical disorders in a special location in East Long Beach. This allows expert pediatric rehabilitation care found at Miller Children’s Hospital to be brought to the East Long Beach and North Orange County communities.

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Outpatient Satellite offers full-service physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The specialized rehab therapies satellite team includes physical therapists, speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists, who provide individualized care in a one-on-one setting and in specialized group rehab therapy settings.

Condition Management & Follow Up Care

The therapists at the Pediatric Rehabiliation Outpatient Satellite offer collaborative medical care including assessment, consultation, treatment and follow-up care. Parents and families are also provided with home programs (or “homework”) to practice skills learned in therapy in the home environment. This is an important part of the therapy program because it ensures that a child is able to achieve success in their natural environment.

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Outpatient Satellite has two multi-purpose gyms that include motor and sensory integration equipment such as stairs, a ball pit, swings, balance balls and orthopedic equipment made just for kids.
