What to Expect

Following the first visit, the doctor may order tests and exams, such as blood tests and x-rays, to help improve the care provided and understand the needs of your child. Your family will also stay in touch with your social worker who will work with other pediatric specialists to ensure up-to-date care for you and your child.

• Diary – After your initial visit, the doctor may require the parent to track the child’s symptoms and any questions they can think of between appointments. Bring the diary, medication chart and all medications, herbs, vitamins or any home therapy you are using to every appointment.
